| Although urban design is focused on the physical elements of place, it recognises the influence of social, economic and political factors in determining the quality of an urban area and the feasibility of different development directions. To ensure that the UDC's work is informed by an appropriate breadth of expertise, we have formed an Advisory Committee which represents a wide array of disciplines and community interests involved in the task of urban design.
